Think-a-Move, Ltd. is a leading developer of hardware and software solutions for audio components and Automatic Speech Recognition software. Our legacy is rich in the hands-on development of optimized systems for multiple markets.

Our senior development team is comprised of speech recognition researchers, engineers, and software developers. The executive management staff has significant experience with technology start-ups, as well as sales and marketing in commercialization of technology.

Scott Shapiro | President

Scott Shapiro leads Think-A-Move (TAM) with over 18 years of cross-functional experience in strategic management, product & business development, and marketing for technology companies in the speech, wireless telecom, and pro audio industries. Prior to his time at TAM, Scott managed multiple profitable product business units at TESSCO Technologies, a leading supplier of wireless communications products.  He has also worked as an international performance DJ and producer and has consulted for top brands in the pro audio space. Scott holds an MBA degree with honors from Loyola University Sellinger School of Business, and an undergraduate degree from Towson University

Roman Szczesniak | V.P. Projects & Operations

Roman has a Bachelor in Chemical Engineering from Cleveland State University and his MBA in Operations Management from Case Western University.  He has 25+ years of experience including Manufacturing Engineering, Process Optimization, Materials Management, Global Commodity Management, Cost Control, Cost-Out Initiatives, Supplier Negotiations and Project Management in a multinational capacity.  Roman is currently VP of Projects & Operations for Think-A-Move and acts as the lead for Technical Sales for SPEAR.

Joe Birli | Engineering Director

As an Engineering Director at Think-A-Move (TAM), Joe Birli leads the design and development of products that enable and enhance audio communication in environments where communication would otherwise be difficult such as under military, industrial and even some consumer conditions. For over 30 years, Joe’s experience in Electronic design, Mechanical design and project management has led to successful products for TAM and previously for Audiopack Technologies. Joe has a Master’s Degree from Kent State University and an undergraduate degree from Cleveland State University.

Paula A. Kuhn | Chief Financial Officer

Paula A. Kuhn is the Chief Financial Officer at TAM, where she is responsible for all of the company’s financial functions, including accounting, financial reporting, legal and corporate matters, cash management, and investor relations. Her career in financial and business leadership spans over 25 years with manufacturing companies ranging in size from a Fortune Top 100 company to a small start-up company.
Paula, both an Attorney and Certified Public Accountant (Inactive), holds the degrees of Juris Doctor summa cum laude from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law and Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from The Ohio State University. She is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants and Lorain County Bar Association (past president).

Ed Serra | Software Engineering Manager

Ed Serra manages the development team at Think-A-Move. Ed has degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Management Engineering from De La Salle University. With over 30 years of experience in the IT industry, he has designed applications in Insurance and Car Rental Management and managed numerous projects involving Policy Processing Systems, Compliance Management Systems, Desktop, Client-Server, Cloud and Mobile Applications.

Robert Livingston | Engineering Director

Robert Livingston Jr. is an Engineering Director with over 20 years in electronic design, specializing in audio communications, data related projects, and firmware development. Prior to joining TAM he led various projects at Audiopack, designing and producing equipment for the military and first responder communities. He has a Bachelors in Electronic Engineering Technology.
